The Isaac Newton Building is the home to the first purpose-built school of Engineering to be created in the UK for more than 20 years and is located on the University’s Brayford campus, right in Lincoln city centre.
The Engineering Hub was completed and ready for business in August 2011 and officially opened by the Princess Royal, patron of Women into Science, Engineering and Construction, in January 2012.
Designed by London Architects Allies and Morrison it is the result of a long standing collaborative effort between the University of Lincoln, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Lincoln.
Specialised research facilities and research-active staff ensure that you are being taught by academics who are leading their field of expertise, challenging what is known and pushing what is possible.
By giving our students a fantastic environment in which to study and gain insight into industry from our industry collaborators, we are giving University of Lincoln Engineering graduates a head start in their Engineering careers.
Then in 2017, it was extended and re-developed to become the Isaac Newton Building, housing the Schools of Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, and Computer Science, encouraging inter-disciplinary work and research and in direct relation to the vast growth of these 3 Schools over the past few years.
