Induction to Your Programme

Our programmes are designed to work around the varied needs of you as individuals in work and home life. Whilst there will be some things that must be fixed in our programme, such as exams, much of the learning, the first 9 weeks of each block, will take place at a distance and rely on our online resources to facilitate your active learning.

These weeks learning at a distance are supplemented by a week on campus each block where you will complete activities including some practical coursework tasks and larger demonstrations to reinforce the concepts that we have been teaching at a distance.

Typically each 10-week block completes two University modules and three of of these blocks run through the year.

Delivery is via blended learning, combining distance learning over 3 x 9 week periods utilising a range of delivery and assessment methods as appropriate to the content being being explored and supported by online interactive tutorials with academic tutors. This online delivery is supported by 3 x 1 weeks on campus through the year to consolidate learning and offer collaborative and interactive aspects to reinforce the content from the online modules.

Additional to this, contact via Skype call or equivalent, workplace visits, and progress review meetings are carried out regularly as part of the programme.

Start dates are in September and January.
