Dr Mike Gallimore – Head of School of Engineering
The Head of School is the most senior member of the School of Engineering and has oversight of everything that takes place in the school. Part of their role is to ensure that programmes fit with the University’s overall mission and development plans, that the programme teams and personal tutors are carrying out their responsibilities adequately, and that the resources they need to do their jobs effectively are provided.
Alex Borman – Programme Leader/Lecturer
Each course has a Programme Leader, responsible for overseeing its structure and smooth running. The Programme Leader ensures balance between modules and liaises regularly with other staff to ensure that appropriate teaching and learning are provided. The Programme Leaders should be notified of any significant problems.
Christine McDermott – Administrator
There are many administrative elements to degree and apprenticeship programmes, supported by a wide team across the campus. For students on this programme, the first port of call if requiring admin support will be Christine, who will be able to direct you to the most appropriate solution. Mandy Goldson – Administrator
The Student Administration team is responsible for providing a wide range of services to applicants, students, staff and the University’s partner organisations.
